I have eczema on my cheeks, and everytime I wear make up, it flares up really bad since my skin is so sensitive. Do you know of a brand that makes make up for sensitive skin? (Foundation in particular)

Okay, I have eczema and especially have problems with it on my face and I have been using Bare Minerals for the last year and I love it. It does not irritate it at all. My skin has actually gotten MUCH better since I’ve been using it. It comes with a moisturizer but it’s tiny and expensive, I use Aveeno moisturizer instead and LOTS OF IT. If you already have a moisturizer, I would stick with it so you don’t change too much on your skin at once (this has been a problem for me) but switch your foundation to Bare Minerals.
Another thing that helps me is to use Burt’s Bees Night Cream on my cheeks when they get bad, because it has oils in it and no alcohol. It will often get rid of my dry flakes in one night. But be careful if you have acne to avoid putting it on those areas since it has oil it can make acne worse.
I would also recommend putting on your moisturizer as soon as you get out of the shower and waiting at least 10 mins to put on your make-up. My dermatologist recommended this and it has helped me.
bare escentuals (its by bare minerals). you can get it at sephora, its a powder buts good for ur skin and should help cover it up nicely
They say bare minerals works for different types of skin.
same! i use ALMAY foundation and OLAY moisturizer.
first i put on moisturizer on after i shower so my pores are open
then i wait like 20 minutes and put on the ALMAY foundation
it barely flakes at all.
ive been doing this for a while and it seems to work for me!
I too have really sensitive skin so I use ULTA’s brand of mineral powder or foundation. Itz really light & u can barley feel it on your skin.
bar minerals or mac
i have a similar problem but around my eyes. i suugest the body shops makeup, however ppl have told me bare minimals works too, but i havent tried it personally.
Dermatologists recommend Jane Iredale. It is sold online and at many doctors’ offices. It is expensive, but that’s because it won’t irritate your eczema. Do not use Bare Minerals products. They contain bismuth, which is very irritating to people who have skin issues. Here is a link for Jane Iredale.

if you use bare minerals it doesn’t sink deep into your skin or clog your pores, so your skin can breathe. i have eczema too but this stuff works
Here is the truth about bare Minerals especially for sensitive skin like yours you need to stay very far away from Bare Minerals because the main ingredients contained is bismuth oxychloride a form of arsenic lead that irritates the skin and creates severe itching as it drys skin out more and flakes off. Bare Minerals is the single worst product you could EVER wear especially with eczema.
I highly recommend for your particular skin type the brand bee luscious cosmetics its a natural company but with some truly amazing products that will help clear up your eczema.
