What would be the best OTC and prescription medication for mild Eczema?

Looking for pills, I’ve had enough of creams and other topical treatments.
Are there any pills that can control itching, reduce inflammation(which would be very mild), or perhaps even make all/most symptoms diminish altogether?

I can understand your frustrations. I have psoriasis and it’s taken a lot of years to find something that works for me.
I know you said you don’t want creams and what not but I found my cure. You might have already tried it and it does take a few weeks to start seeing the effects but I found it worth it and it’s cheaper than all that other crap!!! Coal Tar soap. It’s not the prettiest smelling soap, but you don’t end up smelling like it all day! I also use coal tar shampoo as I get shocking psoriasis on my scalp. It lessens the itching and flakiness and has given me huge amounts of relief!

Ask the pharmacist, usually something with a cortisone cream.
Lanacane I found does not work. Cortaid (I believe it is called) should do it, check with the pharmacy.
The best I receive is a prescription from my dermatologist, or use Elidel every day. But that is a script too. The dermatologist gives samples, so you can make sure it works
before a purchase.
Sorry, nothing exists to cure eczema. If you are having a severe outbreak, you doctor might prescribe a short course of steroids.
Make a log of what you eat, the temperature, you environment, and of all stressful situations. Rate your eczema problems on a scale of 1 through 5 after each entry. If you have been sweating because of heat, you will have to stay a little cooler or wipe the affected area with plain cool water and moisturize with a cream or lotion for sensitive skin. I find that if you keep your creams in the refrigerator, they help calm the skin easier.
some foods can cause break outs. something as simple as milk or wheat products could be the offending agents. wash your clothes in unscented laundry detergent and rinse twice. don’t wear cheap jewelry or any kind of jewelry containing nickle.
Prescription strength clobetasol will help clear it fast, but it is strong, so be careful with it.
Keep you skin moisturized. I use regular olive oil right after a bath. Don’t use a towel. use a wash cloth after you squeeze out all of the water. Other people I know have used regular white crisco or have mixed the olive oil with the crisco and kept it in the fridge.keep your sheet, and rooms as clean as possible. I am not saying that you are dirty, but dust can really cause problems.
If you only have a small patch, lanacaine makes an anti itch cream.
do not use it on large portions of your body.
