I’ve heard so many different foods and drinks we should avoid and eat to relieve eczema, but what do you think?

People have different allergies. Basically, the foods you should be eating, should contain omega-3-6, fatty acids(healthy fat), zinc, vitamin A & B & C (not sure about D), beta-carotene, etc.
It’s all I can think of on top of my head.
One of the best foods to eat is fish, almonds, raw vegetables (specifically dark green veggies like spinach, and anything orange like squash/carrots/yam (sweet potatoes)), fruits. You can also try eating eggs, yogurt, flaxseed, whole grain, avocadoe etc.. Eating some of these will help build your immune system and prevent any flare-ups.
Water is always best to drink since it keeps your body hydrated and may also easily flush the toxins out of your body. Try to avoid juice (loaded with sugar unless it is pure), coffee, and especially soda pops as humanely as possible. You can treat yourself once in awhile if you feel it won’t greatly affect you. If you’re gonna drink coffee, you’re gonna have to drink 2-3 glasses of water in order to replace the fluid or the hydration you lost in your body. It is probabily best not to drink at all, especially when you are having flare-ups.
As I said before, people have different allergies… so I would suggest to take an allergy test if you haven’t in the past 5-10 years ’cause it may change. I found out that I was allergic to soy, fish, and I was no longer allergic to dairy products when I was younger. If you are allergic to some of these, there are always different food alternatives. Some people will say to avoid dairy products…. but I believe that everyone is not the same and only you will know what is good or bad for you. I remember a doctor tellin’ me not to drink orange juice when I’m having a flare-up… I guess there are some foods to avoid as well… as long as there is any scientific explanation for the cause other than allergies.
Once I started eating alot of spinach in a past few days… I hardly feel any itching and my skin start to improve alot. I’ve always drank alot of water and ate normally (with a few exceptions), take multi-vitamins for about a year and see a slight difference in my skin. I’m not much of vegetable eater… but I notice when I started to add some raw vegetables & fruits… my itching problems almost dissapear and I hardly scratch.
Any emotional distress can also make your eczema worse so try to stay calm as well. I think there is many factors to consider.
Anyway good luck finding out what’s best for you and try to do some research… and I hope some of these help.
Depends really what’s causing the eczema . If its a result of a food allergy then you avoid the food that gives the reaction.
I have my best results taking flax seed or evening primrose oil capsules and applying emu oil to my skin topically with manuka honey. Both of these things should be availible at a health food store . Look for active manuka honey .
Avoid harsh soaps /cleansers . When you clean wear gloves . Be sure to drink plenty of water
Good luck
Keep away from dairy products and milks.
