I have really bad eczema on my arms and chin, so I went to the dermatologist to see what I could do about it. She gave me a prescription for Mometasone Furoate and it’s helped a ton! Both the itchiness and redness subsided. It’s a really thick, white cream that you put on whenever you feel the eczema coming. I suggest that you take your daughter to a dermatologist since it’s something that is particularly hard to deal with.
I hear taking showers less often helps.
cortizone 10 cream really helps with the itchiness and the dryness. overtime, itll help it dissapear too. also, any kind of lotion with aloe vera in it.
The only treatment that I know of is hydrocortisone cream and even that has limited success which can cause thinning of the skin among other things. I wish I had a better answer for you but there’s just not that much help out there for it.
Hi, dry skin is one of the most common causes of eczema, so try to keep your daughters skin as moisturized as possible. The best time to put moisturizer on is after a quick bath or shower. The moisturizer sinks in deeper because the pores of the skin are more open.
Moisturize heavily before bedtime. Try using something like Aloe Vera which is really good for healing skin. Coconut oil is also good for deep moisturizing.
This is good for the outside, but remember that the skin is classed as an actual organ, and this being the case it requires nutrients to keep it healthy. So try and make sure that you have your daughter eating lots of green vegetables, which are good for restoring the ph level of the body and putting it in a more alkaline state. When your body is in an alkaline state instead of an acidic state, it finds it easier to fight off diseases and ailments.
If your daughter does not like eating vegetables (which kids do?), then get a juicer and juice them for her. A couple of glasses a day is really good for all round health.
The other thing that you may try is to increase the amount of fish oil in your daughters diet. This is also really healthy for the skin.
I hope that helps a little, good luck. If you would like a bit more info on more eczema remedies have a quick look at the resource below.
The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use serenaskin herbal remedies , which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.
