my doctor prescribed that too, for his face, when you put it on, try not to let hiom touch his face for a few mins, and its fine, but my doc said only use it twice daily till it clears up, only took 2-3 days for my son, then use a cream called glaxall base for preventing future breakouts. my so hasnt had it since, you can find this stuff at any drug store and walmart
California Baby Calendula Cream and the Calming Cream.
Since most pediatricians dont recommend using any steroidal cream for an extended period of time, something else should be used as a preventative measure once the cortizone clears it up-this may take as little as a few days or as long as a few weeks. I had the same problem with my baby boy. I tried several different things, but the mustela stelatopia cream cleanser and the moisturizing cream have worked best for us! I’ve been using both daily on him ever since, and he hasnt had another break-out to date! I first tried them 5 months ago, and he’s been eczema free all winter, which is usually the worst season for us. I bought both products at Babies R us, but you can also purchase them online. Hope that helps!
i know this sounds really funny, but there is a company that makes baby products and the best one for everything baby is boudreaxs butt paste. it worked for diaper rash and baby exzema with my kids. its a diaper rash ointment, but it says on the package a whole list of stuff it can be used for.
Go natural if you can! Chemicals are nasty for bubba. There is a product called xma which is great. Down To Earth Organics stock it on line – http://www.downtoearthorganics.com.au
