What causes of eczema?
I used to have eczema when I was younger, it cleared up for a few years but, it’s starting to flare up again. I’ve tried Elidel cream, that used to help clear it up when i was younger but, it’s not working now. I’ve also tried Fluticasone Propionate cream but, that doesn’t seem to be helping it either. I’ve been trying to stay away from egg whites & wheat just in case that was the cause but, the eczema is still there. I don’t know if it could be a food allergy. I had an allergy to egg whites and wheat when I was younger but recent allergy testing showed that I have grown out of both food allergies. I’ve been drinking a lot of milk lately, even though I’m not allergic to dairy, I don’t know if that’s what’s causing it. I’ve also switched from Cetaphil antibacterial soap to a new scented body wash and I’m thinking that this is what’s causing it because I’m allergic to most (if not all scented soaps). My current breakout spots of eczema are across the left side of my chest, in the bend of my right arm, and across the bottom of my stomach. Should I make an appointment with my immunologist? What are some causes of eczema & what can i do to clear it up??

Something in your life (food or fabric or soaps) is causing the flare up. Maybe it’s cows milk? If so drink Goat’s milk, or store bought bread. Our child reacts to store bought bread except for the Arnold brand. So we bake our own bread.
If you ask me the best eczema product available is Salcura Dermaspray. We’ve used salcura dermaspray gentle on our child and it’s amazing. It isn’t messy like most other eczema products, it leaves no residue, absorbs quickly in a minute or two and one doesn’t even need to rub it in. Now the best thing about salcura is it stops the itch in seconds, and heals the eczema rapidly. At least it did for our child. A lot of other people report similar results. It’s all natural ingredients and over the counter. But you’ll need to purchase it over the internet because it’s only available from Britain. Check ExpressChemist for pictures and case studies, and other sites for user reviews.
All the Salcura products are amazing, including their shampoo (rated best by psoriasis sufferers) and Salcura Antiac, an acne treatment that was the best acne product a British tv show reviewed.
We think the salcura dermaspray gentle is 10 times better than anything else we tried for our child.
I also had it growing up on my legs, just a little on my arms. But it was due to my skin being so dry. Then I would itch it and it turned into eczema. I have been to the dr. many times for it and he would always give me an eczema cream (not sure what they were called I was a teenager didnt pay much attention) but the last time I had it I used the cream, it went away then I made sure to lotion the hell out of it every day. Especially after showers because the skin is so dry. Not just any lotion works. I find that Palmers Cocoa Butter works great. After it being there for years this finally got rid of it. Now that its winter I have a little patch that comes up if I dont keep it moisturized. But hasent been bad at all I just keep it soft and smooth and it stays away! Hope this helps…I think there are different types of Eczema but would hurt to try. =)
The cause of eczema is having severely dry skin. What I do to calm my skin down is a lot of work but It keeps it under control. I do a 40 minute workout (you want increase on blood flow do that helps) remove hair from skin (as in shave) shower with cold water never hot (hot water dries out your skin) right after you shower (when skin is damp) moisturize eceryday (buy lotions containing aloe vera or cocoa butter you can get them for a dollar at a dollar store) apply sunscreen (sun dries out your skin so you want to avoid as much as possible or apply the highest SPF factor to the parts that see the sun) have a healthier diet, eat your serving of fruits and veggies, meats, grains, dairy, with at least 80 ounces of water a day (remember you are what you eat so eating healthy will provide you with great skin and greats amount of energy.
The cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I useserenaskin herbal remedies.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up, and I continue with eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.
