everyone is right.
Your Eczema flares up because of an overreaction of the skins immune system. For me its hot water, most drug store creams ,especially medicated creams from the doctor. Some foods bring out my eczema. But the bottom line is the immune system.
Steroid creams are good for flare ups, another cream called pro-topic which is supposed to control the skin’s immune system to prevent flare ups. (it made my skin itch though).
The cream which improved my skin dramatically is the Aveeno skin relief moisturisng lotion with Triple oat complex.
Aswell as drinking at least 3 glasses of water a day and eating some fruit every day.
itching it, cold wind on wet skin, very hot water when you shower, cold weather overall and putting all different kinds of wrong creams on it can cause eczema to flare up. use e45 itch relief cream and dont put anything else on it until its all gone to help prevent yourself itching it then put some doctors prescribe medication cream on it (obv prescribed by the doctor) morning, night and after you shower or bath. dont go outside straight after youve showerd unless youve covered all of your skin or you put vasaline or other petroleum jellys on it, only use luke warm water when you shower or bath and drink lots of warm water before you go out. hope this helps

Dry air, scratching, excess water.
I myself have it and those are the only things that REALLY screw with my skin.
For me, it’s stress and hot water (like a bath), but I think it depends on the individual. I found a website that lists some triggers.
