What causes ECZEMA? And how can I get rid of it behind my ears etc…?

Also, I got some cream for it and it doesn’t work…Im staying AT a place with no access to medicine etc…the water here is very dry….What can I do???

Eczema is usually caused by allergies or intolerances. Consider changing the soap you use to an all natural one with no artificial ingredients. soaps with tea tree oil are good. Avoid hot showers. There are several good things you can use to keep your skin moist. coconut oil, or calendula cream are a few that work for me. Try to avoid petroleum based products.
I used to have a horrible eczema problem…I used over-the-counter cortisone cream behind my ears, and it cleared up within a couple of months. I also washed with a gentle soap, such as Aveeno, and used Eucerin cream.
I am glad to say that my eczema has been under control for over five years already. They say that it’s a condition influenced by genetics, but I am living proof that with proper care, it doesn’t have to be a part of my everyday life.
Just remember to steer clear from scented/irritating skin products…

I believe they don’t know the cause. It tends to show up in families with conditions like asthma and allergies. Don’t know if you can get to a pharmacy, but I’ve had the best luck with good old fashion coal tar.
The exact causes of eczema are unknown. Possible causes are direct contact with something your allergic to or genetics (small possibility). As far as I know there’s no known cure for it, just treatments. My younger brother uses a prescribed ointment to maintain the eczema so it’s not as scaly looking or irritating for his skin.
I think it would be a good idea to get some sort of prescribed treatment from your doctor. Using colloidal oatmeal is also good to relieve any itching. Hope this helps!
I’m not sure what causes it but olive oil helps. Rub a little bit on the affected area and rub in. It works well.
