What causes an adult to have eczema?

I’ve never had eczema before, but I’m sure that I have it on my elbows and a little under one arm. What are the allergens that cause it as an adult? What works to clear it up?

I’m allergic to Zinc and everytime I come in contact with it [over a short period of time] I get a rash!
I’ve always gotten rashes … my mother told me I used to break out all the time when I was a baby. :/
You might want to see your doctor about this. I did, and he was able to tell me what I was allergic to. I use Cortizone on any irritated area and it works wonders. You can buy this at any local drug store or wal-mart.
