Oatmeal bath is a natural treatment for soothing irritated skin
You’ll need a blender, food processor or coffee grinder and 1 cup of oatmeal. You can use instant oatmeal (unflavored), quick oats or slow cooking oats- all work equally as well. For babies, you’ll only need about 1/3 cup per bath.
Blend or process the oats on the highest setting until you have a very fine, consistent powder. To test the colloid property of the oats, stir 1 tablespoon oats into a glass of warm water. If the oats readily absorb the water and give it a milky look and a silky feel, you’ve blended long enough.
Giving the bath:
Keep the water temperature cool or warm, not hot. Soaking in the tub for a short time can be good for your skin because the skin’s outer layer can absorb water and become less dry. Soak for 15 to 20 minutes. Then use a soft towel to pat your skin dry without rubbing. Immediately after drying, apply a moisturizer to your skin. This helps seal in the moisture.
baby oil or utter balm that stuff is awesome.
have you tried coco butter? If you have you may need to talk to his peditrician.hope I was of some help
I wouldn’t really know of any natural remedy, but my daughter has eczema on her cheeks and it was really bad when she was a baby. The only product that really worked for her was "Aquaphor", and I would apply it immediatly after taking her a bath while she still had a fairly wet face (to lock in all the moisture) I would of course reapply as needed during the day, but that is the only product that gave me any results.
this happend to me my mom put this stuff called eucerin on me. i had really sensitive skin as a baby
my daughter is 5 months old and has this on her elbows..i took her to her dr. on wednesday and he suggested getting over the counter 1% hydrocortisone cream! goodluck!
It’s best to treat the causes rather than the symptoms.
Use a hypoallergenic laundry liquid and fabric softener and ask your pharmacist for an ultra-gentle skin cleanser for people with eczema.
When I made those changes for my daughter, her eczema cleared up and I no longer need any eczema creams.
