My son is going through the teething stage now. He is only 16 weeks. But usually if you feel in their mouth on their gums, you can tell because it feels rigid and also if you look you can tell sometimes. But all babies are different. My son basically drools a lot more, he never did until he started teething and is constantly putting his fist or his fingers in his mouth. He also cries and he used to never do that unless he wanted a bottle or diaper change. My baby doesnt hold anything yet or he wont accept the pacifier. He doesnt like it for some reason;. Try seeing if he will bite you if you stick your finger in his mouth. Mine did that and he bites down really hard. Even if yours dont bite you, that doesnt mean that they are not teething or anything. Try giving him some baby oragel to see if that will calm him down. Put it on his gums and if he stops crying then that might be what is bothering him..

i dont think teething is the problem at this age. maybe but probably not. most likely it is the discomfort of the eczema flare up. possibly bothering his skin. and eczema can be a symptom of other things going on too ie diet so he might be having some stomach problems. check out his breathing also eczema is associated with asthma.

Drooling is a big sign of teething. The extra saliva can be the cause of the skin rash.
Also be on the look out for higher temperatures, 101 or below normally. Irritability, increased gas / gas pains, diarrhea, loss of appetite and trouble sleeping can also be symptoms of teething.

To help her through this you can buy a vibrating teething ring, iced teething rings or homeopathic teething tablets ( Hyland's Teething Tablets worked for us ! :). If the fever is hovering around 101 for more than an hour you can try Infant Tylenol, this will help reduce the level of oral discomfort as well as reduce the fever.

Hope this helps!
