The best eczema product I know is a British product named Salcura Dermaspray Gentle. Made for Babies, it’s all natural, over the counter, stops the itch in seconds and heals any eczema outbreak and inflamed skin rapidly.
We’ve used Salcura on our child since about his 8th or 9th month with dramatic success. It’s 10 times better than anything else we tried on our child. You’ll need to get it from a British website or pharmacy Chemist site, as it’s probably not available anywhere else. The last place I used was ExpressChemist ,which also has some great pictures and success stories on their website. There’s a few other places as well, check around for the best price and shipping, plus look at user reviews.
Our child had instant results with Salcura and I hope your baby does too.
Other than that, you’ll need to find the triggers for the eczema and stay away from them. If he’s allergic to cow’s milk, then you need to drink goat’s milk if you are nursing him. If he reacts to bread, wheat, etc. then you’ll need to stay away from that as much as you can, same with eggs which happens to be another food many with eczema react too. It depends on the person or baby what the triggers are, it could be nuts, or whatever.
hope this helps you and your child.
use cortisone cream for the rash. Wash with Baby Aveeno soap. It’s very gentle and moisturizing and helps to balance the skin. Also olive oil.
Ring your Health Visitor and ask for referral to the Paediatric Eczema Nurse
I would use a soap for sensitive skin and my dr recommended Cetaphil lotion, which seemed to help a lot when my daughter had a very minor case of it.. Not sure about more severe cases. Sometimes a dr can prescribe meds. I think they usually outgrow the worse of it. Good luck!
With every medical condition you should verify with your doctor before you do anything. I suffer from dermatitis and that is commonly mistaken as your baby’s skin condition. One thing I have learn is that we must try to keep our skin as hydrated as possible and avoid anything that irritates it. Also if you see him scratching make sure he stops; even scratching around the affected area irritates the skin enough to make it worst.
Fewer bath are also recomended you want to keep him clean but soap and water dehydrates skin.
Hope s/he gets better.
Eczema is an auto immunity deficiency. Stress (good/bad) can cause it. Also foods can increase flares; I dought u’r six month old is eating foods that cause flares though ;0)
Contact a doctor for medicine choices. We use Fluocinolone (prescription) and sometimes 1% cortisone (over counter). We also use oatmeal to stop itching fast.
