is it bad to use eczema cream if i don't have eczema?…do i have eczema or is my skin normal-dry?

ok first of all do i have eczema?…i have dry skin all over my body….it doesn’t peel off or anything….it’s just dry and it feels tight…..on my face..it sometimes is kinda flaky…hard to use make-up because it looks really cakey……if i use a simple mosturizer it’s totally fine but it’s so red……my face is so red sometimes…..when i’m calm my face is white but if i need to yawn…my face turns a little red….hmmm anyways….is this normal…i mean most white people’s face becomes red easily….so if it is normal should i continue using this eczema cream….i find it to be really good….

Do not use the one that requires prescription, it has steroids that can cause damage to you. However, the over the counter creams are OK, they are for dry and irritated skin.
the stuff you are talking about its horrible. imean it loks back and looks like your skin is coming off and it hurts and its sore looking you dont’ even compare to have it.
Eczema cream is not going to hurt you. If you have the flakiness like you say, you may want to use an ointment instead of a cream.
Eczema is a lack of moisture in the skin. It worsens during the winter months and gets somewhat better during the summer with high humidity.
There are several ointments that you can by over the counter. Eucerin has one called Aqua (something) sorry can’t remember the second part
You should probably try to use hypoallergenic products – avoid colors, fragrances but also harsh preservatives.

Also for the occasional flare-up, try a little hydrocortisone cream – its works wonders
