If it’s scaring it might not go back to normal as scarring changes the skin. I use Aquaphor made by Eucerin (similar to vaseline) and it works wonders.
The discoloration will go away weeks after each outbreak…it’s normal
the best over the counter treatment is cetaphil cream mixed with vaseline, applied all over twice daily.
I faced a lot of problems with eczema on my baby.
Try bathing 2 times a day for 10 to 15 mins. Use salt in the. Bathing. Use aqua four. Meet with an allergist to get to the root cause.
go see a dermatologist my bubs has really bad eczema at times has more patchs of skin than rah and its red bleeding ill write down some of the managment plan his on
bleach bath 3 times a week 1/4 cup belach to half full bath then rinse with clean water after, the bleach prevents a build up of infection in the skin preventing stronger creams also bath water cant be warmer than 29 degrees
elidil morning and night on face
advantan fatty ointment on body
2 times a day lather of dermeeze
2 times a day lather of qv intensive
apply to spots sigmacort and elecon
our son also lives in wet dressings
it takes hours each day to do this to him and he hates his dressings going on but its worth it his skin is improved if we stick to the routine
Try extra virgin coconut oil, it moisturizes, protects, heals, repairs scars, along with antimicrobic, antifungal etc properties
My pede gave me hydrocortisone 1% for initial use… And she said that once the eczema is gone then u stop using hydrocortisone and instead use vesaline on the effected part … It will help with the itching and color tone as well… And my baby girl never had any problems again.. Good luck
