How can you control eczema around your eyes?

Every winter I get eczema around my eyes and today it is especially red and irritated. I know that is a sensitive area and normal creams and topical steroids that you would ordinarily use are not good to use near the eyes. Are there any over-the-counter creams or gels I could find to help with this? It is bothersome and unattractive. Thanks!

I have the same trouble, it’s so bad my eyes puff up like balloons overnight from the irritation. I use Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser for dry/sensitive skin, it really helps, even though people they say you shouldn’t put normal moisturiser around the eye area because it’s too rich, I don’t see what else can be done.
i use lubriderm lotion from any store that sells hand lotions. i have been using it for years, its the only thing that works for me. hope it works for u
Since it is in your eyes, I can only think of two things to try.
First, make sure your eczema is not caused by food allergies. To see, see a dermatologist. You could cut out various things. Common foods include eggs, wheat, and cow’s milk. If you don’t want to see a dermatologist, start cutting things out of your diet one item at a time and see if your eczema gets better.
Second, have you tried washing your eyelids daily? Wash with cold water and sensitive-skin soap, such as Dove or Aveeno. Make sure to moisturize afterward. If you are very, very careful to not get any in your eyes, you could wash the lids with vinegar. My suggestion is to use q-tips to rub it on and off, one lid at a time by dipping the end in vinegar, rubbing your eyelid, getting the other end, dip it in water, rinse your lid with this, then dry your eyelid.
If those don’t work, you might consider going to your doctor.
