Does baby eczema eventually go away or will it always be a problem?
Our daughter gets round patches of eczema (looks kind of like ringworm, but the doctor says it is not) in various places on her body – from elbows to her backside. They are fairly responsive to over-the-counter hydrocortisone treatment plus lotion. I’m just curious if this is something she’ll outgrow or it predicts future eczema issues. I was going to ask the doctor, but my daughter was screaming and crying at the time. Oh, our daughter is almost 8 months old. Thanks!

Some babys grow out of eczema and some don’t. My son had it very bad (all over his body) when he was an infant. He is now three and only has a few outbreaks. Hopefully your daughter will be one of the lucky ones that will grow out of it. What has worked best for him is frangrance free laundry detergent and dryer sheets used on the enire families laundry, bathing with California Baby Super Sensitive, and moisturizing with Aquaphor.
My daughter got eczema at around 6 months and it also looked like ringworm. It used to seep blood and really distress her. She couldnt sleep as she was so itchy and it was so horrible seeing her like that. We tried all kind of emolients and creams and nothing worked until a new doctor gave us like baby gro bandages, and this special cream mix (clotrimazole and fucidin mix but im not sure how much of each she used) that we had never used before. Basically we put the cream on and then the bandage vests and leggings. Astonishingly it was away within a month of doing this. She is now 5 and has had no flare ups in years. We are still careful about what we use in her bath and what wipes she uses etc just in case but she has not had to use the bandages or cream mix in ages Some children do just however grow out of it though, I have psoriasis so dry skin etc runs in my family, You just need to find the right cream that works for ur daughter.
