Causes of eczema?
Ok, I know that many things like the wrong soap, detergents, or even allergies can cause eczema but why does it occur?
What happens in your body? What causes the inflammation? Why does it itch?
"The exact cause of eczema is unknown, but it’s thought to be linked to an overactive response by the body’s immune system to a bacterium that normally lives on the skin or an irritant." – quote from http://www.webmd.com/allergies/guide/eczema
does anyone have a better answer than ^ that?
How do the doctors know how to treat a patient if they don’t know the main causes (technical ones of course) of eczema?
no i mean how it WORKS
…medically…..thanks anyways

Some additional eczema causes information can be found below.
Maybe a weather problem too moist or too damp?………..something in the water chlorine?………..or some rash or defieciency………….just ask your doctor for a anti allergy tablet and it will vanish
To find out what triggers the eczema you’ll need an allergy test, your doc or a dermatologist can do this for you, so you’ll know what products or materials to steer clear of. And stress can also flare it up. My Mum is allergic to a chemical, ppd, which is practically every detergent, every skin product, soap, hair colour, make-up..
It’s caused by the body producing too much cortisone and is generally hereditary
