How many people in the US have Eczema?

Eczema Symptoms, Causes & Treatment
And do you think selling eczema treatment cream is a profitable business? I discovered a cream that really works but is not available in the US.
I live with Eczema, 24/7. I was born with it. I need a remedy, it is almost picture day and I got it on my upper lip, and my arms. Every also thinks I have Poison Ivy. (I don’t have acne, so face remedies that may cause it are fine!)
I have it severely,
Please, i’ve always heard that aloe vera is very effective in the cure of eczema, but i don’t know how to use it, my friend is suffering from it seriously, please i need help! Thanks in advance.
I seem to have the itchiness all fall and winter long. And year round my legs are covered with red dots. If I apply ointment or eczema lotion it doesn’t have long term relief. Should I go back to the dermatologist to get a patch test done to see what irritates my skin? I am allergic to certain weeds, grass and corn pollen.
So in my adult years I haven’t really had any BAD breakouts…until now. I’ve never had eczema on my hands, but right now, I kind of look like a rotting corpse. I’ve tried so many different things and it is healing, slowly, but is there anything some one can suggest to perhaps speed up the process? I WAS weeping, it’s not anymore, I’ve used calamine lotion, that cleared that up. Right now I have mostly scabs and dry skin. Most of the time they don’t hurt but sometimes there’s a sting. I’ve used my extra strength stuff for itching, and polysporin for the cuts. I know over washing them right now would be bad, but at the same time I wonder if baking soda in the tub, or an oatmeal soak would be helpful. please leave your suggestions.
first answer is spam, and the second is incorrect… It’s eczema, not Candida….
I’m 16 years old and when i was about 5 i developed a heat rash that lead to a life long battle with Eczema. I use to get it behind my knees, legs, stomach and arms. My mom constantly took me to the doctor and over the years i’ve been prescribed various skin medications such as:
Clotrimazole & Betamethasone Cream
Cortaid
Corticane
Cortizone-10
Dexacen-4
Dexamethasone Intensol
Elidel
Hydrocortisone 1% In Absorbase
Hydrocortisone with Aloe
Hydrocortisone Cream 1% Plus 12
Itch-X Lotion
Proctozone-H
and Mometasone Furoate Cream (just to name a few)
Anyway, my eczema on my legs, knees and stomach has gone and just last summer I had gotten rid of the outbreak on my arms. Then one day I woke up with ring-worm on my arm the size of a quarter and after it had gone away it left eczema in its place but not quarter sized.
It’s like a giant circle on my arm from my wrist to up over my elbow with most of the redness and scabbing on the lining of that shape. I’ve been to the doctor about a billion times and they just kept prescribing creams that don’t work. I’ve recently stopped using the creams and began taking hot, almost boiling showers and scrubbing my arm down and afterwards applying Avon: Moisture Therapy Intensive Lotion (blue bottle) and my eczema has began to clear up but I still have ring of dry, flaking, scabbing and blistering skin.
It’s like a bulls-eye! Clear in the center, ring of eczema and then normal clear skin again. I think my skin is becoming immune to my usual treatments. Does anyone know of any remedies or creams or treatments that might help. I’m about to start my senior year of high school and I don’t want all my yearbook pictures to have my gross arm in them.
I know there is no cure really, but my 3 and a half year old daughter has eczema mainly on her hands and legs. Sometimes she will scratch so bad that she actually tears her skin up and it looks like her flesh is coming out. I feel horrible because she is just a child and doesnt know any better but this has been a big issue. I’ve been to her dermatologist and I use a very high dose of hydrocortisone (high steroid). She is also taking medication for itching but doesn’t seem to help. It goes away and comes back. Any suggestions??
I am a 37 year old lifetime Eczema Sufferer. I keep it somewhat under control with Prescription Topical Creams & Ointments, but the Steroids have done a lot of damage and my skin is getting pretty thin. I’ve had allergy tests for food & skin allergies and I am on allergy shots to build up my immune system. I’m only allergic to a couple of foods, and I tend to stay away from them. I am trying to get completely off of Topical Steroids and go with an all-natural treatment for my dry, sensitive skin. Any Ideas? Please give Testimonials if you have any. TIA
Also, if anyone knows of any natural creams/supplements that help rebuild damaged, thin skin from Topical Steroid use, please list. Thanks for your help!
