I have eczema around my body, which has been getting better, coming back, getting better, and back and forth.
Just last week, I noticed my lips were really dry and peeling, and I have researched lip eczema and find that I have the same symptoms.
I don’t want it to spread to the rest of my face. I will be going to the dermatologist soon and I am managing to moisturize my lips at the moment, but the question is what precautions do I take so that the eczema will not spread further on my face?
I have Eucerin cream & I have Clinique Face lotion which both are good moisterizers, so would either of the two, used to moisturize my face, help prevent it from spreading?
What should I do? I am really afraid it will spread on my face.
Thank you for your answers.

I’ve been wondering if I have eczema. The back of my neck has itched intensely for years, in different patches depending on the day. I was just looking up eczema on the internet and most of the symptoms don’t describe me. I don’t have red bumps, rashes or scaley skin. It just itches, a lot. The more I scratch, the more it seems to itch. The only way I get rid of it, is to just ignore it by sheer force of will. Now I KNOW I need to get it checked by a doctor but I’m traveling for my work at the moment and can’t, so I’m wondering if anyone can enlighten me to why my neck should be so irritable.

For the past couple of days i’ve be both clear and yellowish greenish mucus so its hard to tell. One minute it’s stuffy 5 mins later it’s constantly running. I would get occasional headaches but i would get itchy throats in the mornings. My voice sounds very nasal. I also constantly sneeze. I already have eczema so i get skin reactions from certain allergens but i just can’t tell if this nasal allergies or common cold symptoms. Thanks!

I recently went to the doctor for a wierd spot on my back, which the doctor actually thinks is fungal, but while I was there she asked me some questions about skin irritation. She asked me if I ever had certain bumps or hives or skin allergies and if allergies run in my family… I said I have allergies and athsma, and I showed her my hands, which have always had these little bumps on them on and off since I was 16. She said I have eczema! I was shocked! I always thought symptoms had to be scaly and red and severe…. these bumps are colorless.
I’ve been having problems with my face in the last year, and I have a patch of bumps on my forehead that are similar to the ones on my hands— small, colorless, filled with nothing, usually don’t come to a head or anything but are pretty firm and stubborn on my face. Is it possible this is eczema too? What can I do to treat it if it is, without giving myself a break-out?

One more question for you guys. I’ve had these extremely dry patches coming up on the tops of my hands, only in certain areas for two or three years now. They look similar to Eczema, but they don’t itch at all. They also seemingly pop up over night and start as a little red, dry, flacky spot no more than 1/4 an inch in diameter although they arent perfectly round. From that they spread in a matter of weeks and my biggest is almost an inch in diameter now–however once it gets that big it usually stops growing. They flake and look terrible and some have lasted for years, some only a few months. Ive got a new one popping up today and for some reason, they only affect areas on the tops of my hands where my digits bend, never in the nonjointed areas. Anyone have a similar condition? I showed them to my doctor but he barely even looked at them and said they were eczema (but he was to busy typing my symptoms in to WebMD so I didn’t expect much from him anyway). Thanks for your help!

i have been suffering from eczema for the past 2 years…it was fairly under control but it has flared up like crazy the past few months. I have tried steroids, creams, pills and anything and all my doctor would prescribe but i feel all the drugs are making things worse.
I was wondering if anyone konws any other possible homeopathic/natural way to address my problem.
my symptoms are as follows:
1. heat makes me itchy as all hell
2. i have trouble sleeping through the night due to my itchiness
3. i have rashes and dry skin around my chest, stomach, upper and lower thighs, legs, mouth and around the hairline of my head.
4. exposure to sunlight for an extended period of time makes my skin red and then itchy.
anyone and all advice would be great about natural remedies to try to treat this.
Thanks all!!

What type of doctor treats systemic symptoms?
My issues include (but are not limited to) severe scalp eczema, kidney and bladder pressure, intestinal distress. I believe it may be candida or perhaps a food intolerance. I would like to see a doctor that would explore whether or not these issues are all connected.

I have noticed that I’ve been getting rashes since the 6th grade (I’m 14 now). I’ve been getting rashes every year since the 6th grade and i get them frequently. My rashes consists of little red itchy bumps and they usually are on my face or arms or near my elbows. I notice that every time i go to my grandmas house i get this rash. I don’t know if it is because she has a new house and new carpet or what. I have also noticed that when I’m brushing my teeth and toothpaste gets on my chin i get a rash in that area. Just recently about 3 months ago i have noticed that i have an extremely dry rough patch of scaly skin on my both elbows. Near the patches of dry skin there are little bumps. I noticed right before i got this dry skin i was itching near that spot. The bumps i currently have near my elbows do not itch anymore. Though, i do put lotion on my elbows everyday it does not go away. So is there a chance that i have eczema? My friend had the same symptoms and he says i do.

Desperate after three sleepless nights due to furious itching from sandfly bites, I found a reference on the net from a man who applied a candle flame to his bites and got instant relief. I didn’t do anything that dangerous but used my hairdryer – just held it to the site that was itching and kept it there for as long as I could bear it. It worked!!!!!
I then remembered that when I had eczema as a kid, it was relieved for a while by holding my hands under a very hot tap. (Of course the symptoms always came back because the cause of the eczema was still there.)
Just interested – any science buffs out there who know why this might work?
