Are my stomach problems and my eczema related?

Ok, so for the past four years I’ve had severe digestive problems on and off, like some months my stomach will be just fine, and then all of a sudden I’ll go through about 2 months of horrible indigestion, upset stomach, sour stomach, just horribleness. But also I get eczema flare ups along with it, like a few weeks before the stomach symptoms start, my eczema starts to flare, and then when my stomach trouble is temporarily gone..it fades away! what gives?

What is this extremely dry patch of skin?

It isn’t itchy or red so I don’t think it’s eczema. It’s just extremely dry to the touch- other than that it has no other symptoms. It is right below my ankle bone and quite small and only about 2inchs Is it just dry skin? Or …?

treatment for eczema??

i have eczema and i’ve tried a lot of different treatments but most of them don’t seem to work, the only thing that usually works are topical steriods, but the symptoms always reappear within not much time. i don’t like using topical steriods all the time because of the long term side effects i’ve read about, i was wondering whether anyone out there has had any success with an alternative treatment.

hand eczema, help?

hi, I have diagnosed myself with hand eczema… I went to my family doctor’s office on a couple of occasions over the past few years and he told me I had a mild case of hives due to exposure to some allergen. I first developed hives after washing the dishes 4 years ago, and since then I had a percistant rash on my right hand that never seems to go away, and gets worse after I use hand soap or touch something.

right now, it seems to flare up for no physical reason, it flares up due to stress sometimes. I know its eczema

do you guys know of any home remedies to controll the symptoms?
Ok I’m not even sure if it is eczema, it all started when I used a particularly strong detergent to wash the kitchen floor 4 years ago, and started helping my mom clean the dishes, thus exposing my bare hands to dish soap.

like I said, its a self diagnosis, I could be wrong… can eczema be brought on suddenly by exposure of the skin to detergents?

I have a three month old breastfed baby who’s poop suddenly turned bright green. She also had a little bit of a stuffy nose and eczema. After research it seemed milk could be the problem and after taking it out of my diet the symptoms are decreasing. Its obviously not a severe allergy, but I’m curious if she’ll be sensitive to milk her whole life or if eventually she’ll (and I) will be able to have it.

well i am having a symptom of fatigue and im having bumps on my skin but i have eczema and im not sure but im having more fatigue than usually please help me im 12 and im 119 pounds

Eczema treatment/diet?

Aside from whatever one gets from the doctor, what else should a person with Eczema be aware of in terms of diet? And what can one do to help ease the symptoms, aside from taking the medications? Also, what foods can help with the irritation?

Please cite your sources. Thank you.

could i have eczema at 20?

I’m 20 years old. Last year, I tried whitening strips for my teeth and had an allergic reaction. My dermatologist told me it may come back from time to time, which it has. However, ever since then, my skin has been so much more sensitive than ever before, and not just around my lips. My whole face gets dry and flaky a lot more and I’ve got these off-white (not very noticable though) patches of what looks like goosebumps on a few spots on my arms, where the skin is dry and itchy. In winter, my legs get flaky dry every day that I don’t use lotion, which it’s never been SO flaky before in my life.

My mom has eczema. I don’t know if anybody else in my family does. I hear it’s hereditary. However, my skin condition doesn’t seem so severe, it’s just annoying, dry skin, not like horrible cracks like I read about. I’m wondering, is this all just because of that allergic reaction, so not eczema, or is it the allergic reaction the catalyst that developed my (possible) eczema?

I read that eczema is caused by an unbalanced immune system. Well, my immune system has always been bad- I grew up in a war-ridden country, had pneumonia twice, always get colds, etc. So is it possible that I have eczema? Some if its symptoms sound similar to mine.

Please note: Clearly, I will go to a dermatologist if I want a professional medical diagnosis. I’m just asking on here just to do some background from others who may have experienced similar symptoms.

Thanks!

Approximately how long can it take to recover from steroid-induced Cushinoid symptons like the puffy face, or Moonface?

The steroid in question was Fucibet cream for the treatment of eczema.
