Can I use hydrocortisone cream on eczema when pregnant?

I’m 20 weeks pregnant and have got really bad eczema on the bit where your arm bends. Is it safe to use hydrocortisone on this?

considering its a steroid and excessive use thins the skin, id check with your dr. but im sure it would be fine. or ask the dr if there is anything they can prescribe.

My doctor says its OK. But I have found that honey works the best!!! I’ve had eczema for years and nothing has ever cleared it up so well. Just put a little on the spot and let it sit for like 5 mins. Then wipe it off with a cold wet wash cloth and apply lotion.
My toughest spot I only had to do this twice!

* if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
* if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
* if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
* if you are scheduled for a vaccination with a live virus vaccine (eg, smallpox)
* if you have a history of an underactive thyroid, liver or kidney problems, heart problems or heart attack, diabetes, high blood pressure, inflammation of the esophagus, stomach problems (eg, ulcers), bowel blockage or other bowel problems (eg, ulcerative colitis or gravis), or mental or mood problems (eg, depression)
* if you have measles, chickenpox, herpes infection of the eye, or any other type of bacterial, fungal, parasitic, or viral infection
* if you have recently had tuberculosis (TB) or have had a positive skin test for TB"
I use the over the counter stuff and my doctor says it’s ok.
Drugs of this class should not be used extensively during pregnancy, in large amounts, or for prolonged periods of time. Best to discuss with your OB GYN re: risk vs benefits in using this drug.
