My 4 month old has really bad eczema all over his face and now getting it in different areas of the body. I’m trying everything the dermatologist recommended. Do you know of any natural home remedies that help or cure eczema? I’ve been told you can only control it but I can’t loose hope on finding something.

Hi Irania,
Before you get to know the real remedies for Eczema, there are some unproved remedies surrounding Eczema that you should know about. These remedies include:
* Oatmeal Consumption. It’s a common remedy to heal itching, and can be applied as a cream in the bath. But some recent researches tells that oat can give a burning sensation on skin.
* Sulfur. For a long time, sulfur has been used for some skin problems. However, there is no scientific evidence that sulfur treatment can cure Eczema.
* Probiotics. They are living microorganisms like Lactobacillus bacteria in yoghurt. They are not effective for treating Eczema, and have a small risk of an infection.
* Sea water. Many expert dermatologists around the world believe that there are some doubtful evidences that salt water baths can help children with Eczema.
Recently scientists discovered that a diet rich in Omega-3 may able to reduce the symptoms of this skin disease. Because the disease is related to inflammation, the Omega-3 fatty acids can help controlling the production of chemical mediators of inflammation. This means that the skin rashes can be reduced by consuming fish oil supplements regularly. So, finding the best fish oil supplement is really important to treat Eczema.
try oatmeal. i have eczema and use lots of products with oatmeal in it. it helps sooth your skin.
Maybe Manuka honey can be of some help. I have read good things about it. I use Manuka myself for treating wounds, burns, sore throat and stomach relief. I have no eczema so I don’t know from experience if it works but I do know Manuka honey is an unique product known to be effective where conventional medicines fail.
There are special Manuka honey based eczema creams on the market. The difference between normal Manuka honey and these creams is that the creams are sterilized by gamma irradiation.
