my hands have eczema and the eczema gets so much worse like after a shower! should I avoid getting water on my hands?
My daughters all have eczema. My 2 older daughters manage with just lotion to calm the itching. But my 3rd daughter is just red and bumpy from top to bottom. I’ve resorted to putting mitts on her hands to keep her from scratching her face. Her pediatrician gave me samples of Eledil and a prescription for it. When I went to fill the script, the pharmacist told me he would never use it on his children because the risks outweighed the benefits, not to mention that my daughter is only 7 months. I was mortified when he told me that Eledil had a black box warning. Does anyone know of a safe way to stop the itching and scratching? I just hate watching her tear at her poor little face every day, and not be able to do anything to relieve it.
I have always suffered from very severe eczema- I am 16 and have had eczema since I was a baby. I used to have it all the time, but lately, I only get very bad bouts of it it in the summer or when I am wearing fake jewellery. What is it about these two things that makes my eczema so bad?
I’ve this very stubborn eczema (I m guessing that’s what it is), which has been there for almost 10 years now. I’ve tried Allopathy , Homeopathy even Ayurveda … nothing seems to get rid of it completely.
Do you know any really really good skin specialist in Bangalore who can treat this?
PS: Don’t really care how costly the treatment is ![]()
my 6 week old baby developed eczema from what i believe johnsons baby tip to toe wash. it started out as a dry patch on his cheek and has now spread all over his poor face, neck, chest and back. The doctor prescribed aqueous cream at first but it was crap and just made his skin angry, so i went back and he precribed oilitum for his bath, epaderm to be used at night and doublebase for day use. i believe these have angered it even more as his ears have become dry and his skin is peeling and more spots have appeared. Ive bathed him this mornin to get the creams of his skin, i used nothing but water as i didnt want to aggitate his skin even more, and then smothered his skin in extra virgin olive oil to keep it from drying any further.
I really would like to use natural products as i believe he may be having an allergic reaction to prescribed creams. Ive looked at avent magic cream, aveeno baby calming cream and miamoo cuddle cream. Just would like to know if anybody had used these with/without success?
I only bath him 2- 3 times a week now, in cooler water, pat his skin dry and have started using only fairy non bio on his clothes, no fabric softner.
I dont think its bothering him too much as hes sleeping fine and not trying to scratch his skin, but he obviously cant tell me if hes uncomfortable so i want a quick fix.
I have a red rash on my finger, it comes up in little bumps and it itches sometimes. I think it might be eczema but I am not sure.
This may sound silly but does that mean I have asthma or I will get asthma in the future?
I heard Eczema is ralated to asthma, and that in some cases people can have both. My dad got eczema when he was a teenager then he got asthma years later.
For the last couple of months I’ve been getting little flare ups of eczema in the crooks of my elbows. I’m a 19 year old girl, I’ve never had it before and I can’t fathom why I am getting it now.
I have it on my arms, neck, an back of my knees, occasionally my tummy. I have allergies to oats, beans, all nuts except peanuts almonds and coconut, and soy. I have tried aquaphor, eucerin, protopic and elidel, what can i do, I am taking my omega 3’s too. My skin is super sensitive. I am about to start school again and want to change my problem please help.
