I was diagnosed with eczema about one or two yrs ago, don’t really remember exactly when right now, and ever since I’ve been struggling with this skin condition. It all started in my hands and now I see this in the inner parts of my arms and around the back of my shoulders. I sometimes get it on the back of my legs too. All the itching (sp) and dryness leaves dark spots in my body and I hate it. How can I get rid of the dark spots…will they go away on their own?

I am working on a more ‘holistic’ approach to controlling my eczema because I don’t like relying on corticosteroids and the like. After experiencing positive results with Neem Oil and Penaten, I decided to mix the Neem Oil into the cream. This has worked wonderfully. An holistic dermatologist suggested the use of Emu Oil and Evening Primrose Oil. I have added these to the cream with some Sweet Almond Oil and a touch of Vitamin E extracts. This has had the added benefit of killing the Neem stink and the medicinal smell of the zinc oxide cream.
If anyone has experience with treating eczema with natural products I would like to hear about your experiences and suggestions. Also advise if you feel that I am omitting anything from my topical treatment so far.
BTW, my break-out areas are my elbow (just one! *counts lucky stars*) and a patch on my neck near my hairline. It used to cover the back of my neck from nape to occipital knob (where the spinal column meets the braincase).

Do you know of anything over the counter that I could use that would help my son’s eczema? He is 3 years old and has lots of allergies. I have to take him back to the allergist but in the meantime, any suggestions?

My son is 14 months old. His cheeks get bright red sometimes. It tends to coincide with fever. Other times his face is perfectly clear.

I hate eczema, and I’m not too fond of meds if I can avoid them. What do other people do to keep it in check?

We have a 3 years old child with Eczema, for the last two years we would only sleep for 3 to 4 hours most at night ! Seeing our child Scratching all night and not getting the sleep that he needs just kill us. We tried everything from creame and medication. Is there any other safe options in helping our 3 years old to rest at night?
