I keep getting a red flareup on my nose every few weeks, I presume it’s eczema as it’s dry and sore. I moisterise every day and still no joy. Any advice on the best and safest cream that keeps it at bay?

These are separate skin conditions, and while I have been diagnosed with Eczema since infancy, I believe I may have a mild form of Psoriasis.

Both rarely are rarely "active" at the same time, but sometimes they are, there is a noticeable difference between the patches of skin, even though they are usually close to each other, even overlapping at times. Have I just done too much research on skin conditions, or is it possible to have both Eczema and Psoriasis?

I noticed last week that my son had dry patches on his legs. I started to put lotion on them but it hasn’t done anything. Today I noticed that he now has them on his arms. Is this just dry skin or could it be eczema? I had eczema as a baby if that makes a difference or not. We have a doctors appointment next week. Should I call and ask for the appointment to be moved to this week?

i have never had eczema in my life till now all of a sudden, and i can’t think of anything different i’ve been doing lately.

What is the best over the counter treatment/lotion/ointment for eczema. I have horrible patches all over my body, and I get hives all the time. I have seen a doctor, so I do have medication creams, but they don’t work very well. I already know about Aveeno, CeraVe, Cetaphil, Aquaphor, etc. Please help me find something that is less than 0.00. Thank you so much!

i just got back from vacation and after I took a shower i noticed the skin on my arms. I’ve had eczema before so it was nothing new just seems worse then usual. usually i just wait it out.

What is great treat for eczema in children 18 months old?

Our family doctor prescribed hydrocortisone for my daughter (she’s 3 going on 4 in January) to treat her eczema. She gets it quite badly about 2x per year – on her arms, legs and sometimes on her stomach. The pharmacist just cautioned me about not using the hydrocortisone too much on her – why would that be? Is it a steroid?
